Question Networking XP Home

I have XP home and XP pro Using a D link DI 524 Wirless 4 port router.using hardwired cat 5cables.I am not using the wirles on the router.
With XP Pro I can ping my router and ping my own IP address every thing is ok but with XP home I can not see the router but I can ping my XP Home IP address Nothing when I ping the router.and nothing when I ping the xpPro computer.
Can you help.
Can xp Home be networked or is there some problems.

Please go to command prompt on the XP home machine and type ipconfig and post the results here.
Also do the same for us with the XP pro machine. Does internet work on the xp home pc?

Uninstall any 3rd party firewall you may be using and use the Windows firewall.

Is the IP address of the XP Home system assigned by the DHCP of the router or is it an auto assigned windows address?

Do you have a link light registering on the back of the NIC and on the router?

Is the router setup to administer DHCP addresses? If so, how many are allowed? Are they all locked under existing leases (even if just in error)?
