Angry Fire losing internet connection.

Hi guys,

I have recently added two pc's to my wireless network. However, I find that my older pc does not retain the signal strength. The strength always falls to a critical low.

I have experimented with switching the network cards around, thinking that I may have a faulty card in my older AMD PC. Wrong. When installed in my new intel PC the card worked very well. Since the antenna is extended I tried rotating the antenna to several positions. But, regardless of where I position the antenna, pc, or how cards are swapped I find that all of my computers recieved an excellent signal strength with the exception of the older AMD PC in question. What are the possible causes of this problem and what are the possible solutions.

P.S. when ever I reconfigure the wireless connec tion for the AMD PC I find that it performs at 48mbps and falls to a critical 5mbps within ten minutes losing the internet connection.

Help!!!

Netgear wireless router: 54mbps
Raylink wireless cards.

Have you tried upgrading the firmware in the router, doing a hard reset, and reconfiguring it? Do you have any wired computers on the router, and if not, why not?

Low network connection

There is a single wired connection to the router. The router was reconfigured.
