TCP Wrappers
I have a problem downloading emails via POP3 and accessing the cpanel for my own domain. I think my IP address is blocked for unknown reasons to me, since the error message i get from Outlook is: "dropping connection from [ip address] because of tcp_wrappers".
I did a little research and it appears i might be on a blocking list located at /etc/hosts.deny or i could fix it by adding my IP to the /etc/hosts.allow file. The problem is, where do i find and edit these files?? or is it only accessible by my hosting company? By the way, i managed to access the forbidden web page by going through a proxy server, so i am pretty sure the problem is a blocked IP. Thanks for your time. |
