DNS not found when using my router?!
I have a simple 4 port Microsoft router that i have had for about 2 years now working fine never having problems. I have my computer and 2 Xbox 360's plugged into it. Out of the blue, i simply cannot connect to the internet on the computer or sign on live for the 360's anymore. I run the tests that you're able to run with the 360's and it says the DNS keeps failing.
It's not the modem or anything with the computer itself because when i just unplugged everything from the router and go straight through the modem everything works fine. Do you think my router took a poop. Any help would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Have you tried rebooting modem and router? Is that a cable or DSL modem?? After rebooting both, if it still doesn't work please go on the PC and go to command line and type ipconfig /all and post back the results so we can see what might be the trouble.

Seems it was just the router needing to be reset. I held in that little button with a paper clip and all seems to work well. Thanks for all the advice.
