Renewing IP Address

My son trying to be a Smart ass and use my laptop...(after It was uninstalled in device manager but was still in the laptop) went into to control panel and tried to enable the wireless adapter which I guess he did because the Icon for wireless returned to the task bar , but it never connected and now even though I have went back and reinstalled it I cant get it to connect fully , it connects but says Limited connectivity and has the yellow triangular icon on it , I tried to repair the connection but it says it cant renew the IP address though I have 2 other computers (including this one) that are still connected using wireless and suggestions how to fix my problem?
