public ip address

Hey I got a question does anybody know how to get a public ip address while on a network. I need to connect to a public ip. How do I take myself off the network.

Not sure if I understand your query. It sounds like you want to access a particular site on the internet but it is blocked somehow. If this is on a business network, then you need to talk to the sys admin.
