ICS please explain

If I have 3 Computers with WinXP SP2 and I want to share internet service on 1 computer with other 2 computers than how I can use ICS(Internet Connection Sharing)?

What type of internet connection are we talking about here? You would be much more pleased with the performance if you just get a router, and you would not be talking about spending much more money and the ease of setup with the router is easier and it will work way better and you will not have to have any of the other PC's on the use internet on any of the other PC's.

One of the computer must have two network cards....
Windows Help File has detailed info on ICS....

Actually to use ICS with 3 computers, won't the main PC have to have 3 nic cards? And of couse it will always have to be on for anyone to use the internet..

No. The second card connects to a switch, and all client computers connect to the switch.

ICS only requires 2 NIC's in the "server" if the Internet connection is Ethernet-based. You share the active Internet connection, be it a internal or external serial dialup modem, USB modem, or Ethernet-connected modem, to the NIC that connects to the switch.
