satellite internet
I know why satellite has very high pings, to far for signal to travel. Is there anything that can be done to lower pings on a satellite internet connection?
I just put in a nice killer video card for a friend of mines kid so he could play Battlefield2, he liked it so much he really wants to play online, but cable and dsl are not available for where they live, thus the reason they have satellite. The pings on any and all servers crazy high (nothing below 500) I'm almost wondering if a good serial modem would be better Is there anything that can be done to at least help? |

Nope. Check to see if local fixed wireless is available in their area, that's about the only alternative to dialup that doesn't lag bad.
