Creating a network

I have a laptop and a PC, and i want to be able to view files on the PC from the laptop. The Laptop is wireless and the PC is via a cable. I have run the setup wizard for a home network. However the PC can see the Laptop but cannot connect to it and the Laptop cannot see the PC at all.

Can someone help with this, thanks.

make sure that both are in the same workgroup, and the file shearing permissions are set correctly and enabled.

recheck your permissions settings and sharing settings, one of them is not set correctly.

also, don't forget to reboot when changes are mand for them to take effect.

Thanks for your help, both the computers are using XP Pro. I tried changing the settings on the pc as that link said but it still says permission is denied when i try and access the folder via the Laptop, it says i do not have permission, but i dont know what permission settings it is talking about.
