401 Bad Request Can't use wireless interface to access web.

I Have a Linksys wrt54gs with Linux-based DD-WRT firmware on it. I can surf the net on hard wire and wireless. However I cannot access the router via wireless. It will only let me connect via hard wire connection..

Any suggestions to why this would be ?

I believe this is a security feature. In the event someone is able to get into your signal via wifi interception they could just go to the router page and attempt to crack your password (if you changed the default one). Take over your router and change all the information to lock you out for a short period of time.

Now if the only way you can access the firmware is by a client that is onsite and securely connected thats much better.

I dont know if that is the 100% actual answer, but that's my opinion on it from a logical standpoint.

There is an option in DD-WRT to enable/disable web (administration page) access through wireless. If you want to logon to the router via wireless, just enabled through a wired connection first. And Dia is right, it's an additional security feature.
