Thumbs down frustrating wireless browser problem

Hello,
I have a laptop for school on which I connect to the Internet using Wifi. I use have IE and Mozilla FireFox, but I use IE mostly. There is a specific website that I frequent quite a bit and today when I tried going to the site using IE I got this message: Internet Explorer Can not display this page. When I try using FireFox I get the message that the connection has timed out.

I tried to solve this problem on my own my deleting my temp. files, updating my computer through Microsoft's site. This is very very frustrating and I don't know what else to do.

Do ya'll have any suggestions? Any and all help would be apprecaited. I'm not that computer literate, so please be kind!

God and peace
Vanessa

At the time you were experiencing the problem, if all other websites would also not load, then your internet connection has a problem. If it's just that site, it probably has a problem. What is the website?

It's possible the site is being blocked by the school.

I've used the site on my own personal computer many many times and I know that the school doesn't block the site because I just checked it out tonight from a computer in our dining center.

God and peace
