run out of ethernet connections, help

hi all. can any help me? i have bt home hub which has 2 ethernet ports & 2 usb ports, pc is going to 1 ethernet, second ethernet port has bt vision(tv) coming out of it, i need another ethernet port for another pc, what can i do?
or should i connect this main pc to usb port instead,

Pick up a switch. Connect it to one of those ethernet ports to turn one port into 4.

Remember to use a crossover cable to connect the 2 switches.

Crossover is not necessary if the switch you get has an uplink port or autosensing ports.

Glc you are correct (it may have a switch enabling uplink to a port as well). I was speaking generally.

thanks for all the info guys, also if i do it this way will it affect me broad band speed or will i not notice it that much

You will not notice it at all. Broadband speed is usuallyl on the order of several megabits per second (around 5, but varies with the provider), while the switch you get will be at least 100 megabits per second, so it won't slow you down at all.
