Cannot Connect to WLAN

I just got a Nokia N800 internet tablet. I am having trouble connecting to a WLAN. I am trying to use it at my business. The wizard takes you through setup where it finds the networks and then asks for the password. I did all this. It says it is connected but web browsing does not work. Any ideas? I know that our desktop PCs each have a specific IP address that has to be manually entered when setting the PC up. I dont know if this is an issue.

If you are on a static IP lan, you have to assign the device a static IP.

Yes - a wireless access point is not a DHCP server. You are associated with the wireless, but you are not being issued an IP address.

The only way for it to automatically pick up an IP is if your network has a DHCP server - I just read your other thread - the router you have at your house is a DHCP server. If all computers in your office network have to be manually assigned an IP, you probably do not have a DHCP server there - or if you do, it's disabled.

Who set up your office network? I'd speak to that person to find out what you need to do.
