Ok have a Belkin router been working fine last 6 months now suddenly when I try to connect my laptop (Acer Aspire) , It cant see router I have tried all reset button tricks from 7 seconds to 20 seconds to reset while pluging it in. How can I tell if it is router deadness (is that a word) lol Thanks for any input.

Well power light comes on as does the wireless light . Also internet light, Modem light is also blinking And number 1 is lit which explains why desktop is still working fine. Just suddenly happened now trying to go through the hassle of finding install disc lol maybe reinstall it?

If a wired desktop works, then you have a wireless issue - try uninstalling, reinstalling, and reconfiguring the laptop wireless adapter first. Verify the wireless in the router is turned on, and verify the SSID and security settings.

Have you checked the wireless settings in the router yet?

You have to do that with your wired computer.
