Setting up a printer for network-wide use

I'm looking at getting one of those all-in-one printers (printer, scanner, copier, fax) soon and I wanted to hook it up to my router at home so the computers on my network could all have access to the printer. My question is, how can this be done? Is it a matter of connecting the unit to the router and installing the printer drivers on each machine or is there more to it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Yep, it's pretty simple actually. Hook the printer up to your router and note which IP address it receives. Then all you should have to do is install the printer drivers -- it should prompt you during driver setup to enter the printer IP address if you choose a network install.

I've set up some HP Officejet 6310's recently - all you have to do is connect it to the router and run the CD on each machine, it will go out and find the printer and install it. You don't even have to play with IP addresses, it will be automatically assigned.
