Connection problem with a USB 2.0 dongle

I'm running a USB 2.0 Trendnet dongle on a second computer. My main computer with the wireless router works perfectly, but this wireless dongle won't connect when I boot up the second computer. It'll work fine after I click the "Repair" function on the little Wireless Network Connection icon in my taskbar. Is there any way to fix this? Tried the Trendnet support but I either can't understand them or they tell me to just click the repair function every time I use the computer. Thanks.

I recently worked on a laptop that had that issue. My fix was to go into Network Connections, Right clik the connection and select "Enable".

My recommended fix is use a real adapter (PCI, or PCMCIA for laptops) instead of a USB device.
