Transferring files between desktop and laptop
I've been googling and searching for a couple hours now and am retarded enough not to have figured it out yet.
I'm trying to somehow transfer files (media etc) from my desktop to my laptop, but can't figure out how to. My desktop is running xp home, and my laptop's running vista home premium. Is there any way of wirelessly transferring files between the two? (I'd rather not have to go drop $50 on a cable...) If not, how exactly do I transfer the files with a direct connection? I do have a thumb drive for small transfers, but I'm looking to move my entire media library between the two if possible, and need something more suiting. Thanks in advance for any help. |

Enable file sharing. I assume you have a router, and that should let you transfer files.
Make sure both computers have the same workgroup and they both have a password.

Simple file sharing worked perfectly, and is very fast, thanks Shadowpr.
