Vista64 on a HD, new XP on another HD it cant connect to ethernet RR cable

i have Vista on one HD and XP on Another HD .i boot one at a time from the BIOS

the Cable tech said my motherboard ethernet port cant be found by the XP program, but the Vista64 can, and does.. he said i need an Ethernet Card ..XP can find the ethernet port in it

he said try'n to put the drivers in the XP wont work.. i'm very confused.

i want to go CrossFireX some day.. i dont think there would be room for another card.. my GPU takes 2 slots.

anyway.. for now i can do another card.. but is it really necessary.??

we have xp upstairs on a wireless on a Compaq

UPDATE... i guess i have to get the Ethrtnet card after all, so i will also be using that Ethernet conection for the Vista64, i dont want to slow down the V64.

any suggestions for a card to use, i was looking on Newegg, i dont know what to get..

All you need are the XP drivers for your adapter. They SHOULD be on the support DVD that came with your motherboard. Put it in and let the autorun guide you with all the driver installs you need.

make sure you have the driver for the LAN downloaded for XP. Or just dont use XP.

If it's the motherboard in your sig, here is the driver. Download it with vista and put it somewhere that XP can see it, or use a different computer and a flash drive, or whatever.
