im doing a project for my IT class and i was wondering if anyone had any advice or info ya might want to share on how and/or what i should start first. I have to upgrade a hospital network system to XP professional. As part of teh upgrade 100 new computers will be purchased. i have to prepare a standard installation for these systmes. i need to create a base system with specific users and groups, folder structures, network adress, printers, and group policies.
take into consideration. I will perform the initial installs, in the field, junior IT staff and interns will perform the rest of the installs. as a result i need to automate whatever i can. teh systems will use static IP addresses. |

Make one computer how you want it and take an image of the harddrive, then put that image on all the other computers.

XP Pro can only be used with no more than 10 computers in workgroup mode. For 100 workstations, they have to be in a domain connecting to a server with a server OS.
