Please Help! XBOX/PC NAT Problems
ISP: Comcast. Router: Belkin N Wireless
I am having trouble setting up this wireless router with the Xbox 360 and my PC at the same time. The Xbox 360 and my PC are both hardwired to the router. When I add the Xbox's IP address to the DMZ on the router it fix's the Xbox's problem but makes it so my PC can no longer connect?? If I go back in and disable the DMZ, my computer works fine again but the Xbox 360 does not. I can't seem to figure out what is blocking the computer's access just by adding the Xbox 360's IP to the DMZ. Also I found this post http://www.noddegamra.co.uk/problems...at-settings/3/ he suggests setting the Open Ports Required for XBOX Live. But I cannot find anywhere in my routers utility to configure this? Any thoughts or ideas from anyone would be very much appreciated. Thanks! |

Look for a section in your router's configuration called port forwarding or virtual servers. When you configure your router are you using the software that came on it or going to the website? Going to the website gives you much better control? Just type the ip or your default gateway into your browser to get there.

Thanks, I am using the web browser and found the virtual servers. There are to spots to enter in port numbers for each server one port is labeled Inbound port and the other is Private port.
I need to open port 88 and port 3074. So which do they go in Inbound or Private and say if it went in Inbound then what do i put in Private? or vis versa. |

I don't know what it would be either. Is the PC set to obtain IP automatically, and is DHCP enabled in the router?
