problems connecting to internet

My home computer has no problem connecting to my network and no problems connecting to the internet, but when someone tries to connect, they are able to connect to my network but unable to get onto the internet. It is on WEP w/ a Shared encryption. They are using the correct network key also. What can I try?

Brand and model of router, please? Why are you using WEP? You should be using WPA.

As a test, completely unsecure it and see what happens.

What settings should I have on when I use WPA. I've tried this before but it doesn't seem to stay connected or cannot connect. I have a Linksys WRK54G Router.

I am using model WUSB54G Version 4.0 wireless g usb network adapter in my laptop and it will work for a bit and then log off and vanish from the computer. The only way to get it back is to unplug it from the computer and plug back in.

If you must use WEP, then set your router for WEP OPEN and not SHARED. It will probably work then.
