Laptop limited to 54 mbps on wireless N

I got a laptop recently and decided to go wireless. I have a sony vaio with the intel 5100 agn card that supports N draft 2.0. I also bought a Netgear WNR2000. I looked at the stats on both of these and found that they both support draft 2.0 at 300 mbps. I set up my network and my wireless is stuck at 54. Am I missing a setting or did I not configure it correctly?

Thanks, Travis

I am not familiar with that Netgear router however it sounds like it is a setting problem. I would call Netgear and get help, they have good phone support.
