Dell laptop modem
My son bought his daughter a Dell laptop for graduation. He didn't know it didn't have a modem and she is on dial up. Is there an external modem? I havn't seen the lap top so I don't know the model. What can I suggest to him? I havn't had dial up in 15 years.

It is quite possible that it is a DELL model that has internal space for a modem. The manual, or the Dell website covering that model should help you find out. And if so, you get to decide on the tradeoffs.
