cannot get my sister's laptop to connect!

hi guys, i have this odd problem where my sister's laptop cannot/will not connect to te wireless network. I set up the router myself and my laptop as well as my friend's laptop connects to it instantly without any problems. i have tried resetting the router and resetting my sister's IP address but it still won't connect. another problem is that the windows wirless network setup utility is now no longer working, it gives me a "windows cannot configure this wireless connection, If you have another program to manage this connection then use that software" type error, the thing is, there is no other software. i need help.

the router is a netgear WGR614 (came free with the internet connection) and i'm with virgin broadband.

Is another utlity running? I have two Dell notebooks and Dell has there own wireless utlity app that connects to the wireless network.

her laptop is a dell Inspiron 1501 from 2005. i cannot see any other utility, where would i find it? i'm running a dell precision M90 and i have an Intel wireless connection app, but my sister's inspiron does not have it.

Edit: i have managed to get it working, i found dell's proprietary wireless utility and got that working! thanks for the heads-up MrDravenX.
