Wireless Connection
I have my daughter's desktop and laptop set up in a wireless network. File sharing,Internet connection and printer sharing all work great, however they are only about ten feet apart. She will be moving to a new home and now one will be downstairs and one will be upstairs, about twenty feet apart. Is this too much for wireless or should I consider running a cable?

Try it. If it's not satisfactory, then you can run a cable.
