linksys wireless router

Have any of you used the new wireless router yet? And has anyone tried using it to link 2 pc's from one building to another? I read that there is another component that will boost the signal up to 800 meters, how reliable is the signal & does anything interfere with it?

Stay away from wireless for now, a guy at work just spent about six hundred bucks on a linksys setup only to find that the neighbor's cordless phone caused problems. Then Linksys suggested that he install their just released Firmware Upgrade which was faulty and render the whole system in operative. Linksys has said to him that they should have a new update in about a month.
That is the story of Linksys, but what I read indicates that Wireless systems are all having poor performance issues.
