Angry Fire Redirect / Search Engine Virus?

I have some sort of redirect or search virus, I have IE8, window xp3 and everytime I do a search, it shows me a legitimate looking list but if I click on one it redirects me to some bogus website.

I trired system restore and pc cillin houst call but nothing seems to work.
How can I correct this annoying problem?

Download and install Microsoft Security Essentials (free anti virus) and Malwarebytes (malware scanner) from here FileHippo.com - Download Free Software
After installation update both applications and run "Full" scans with both.

That is the correct link. No particular order. Get MSE from Microsoft ONLY.

When you get it cleaned up, leave them both installed. Set MSE to do a weekly scan, and use MBAM manually from time to time.

Host file of Operating system seems to be corrupt so please rename it

Step:1 click on start and go to run
Step:2 type drivers and press enter
step:3 open etc folder and rename host file

Please restart and check.
