Pum...disabled

When I run Malwarebytes, it continues to show PUM.DISABLED. I then remove that infection or whatever, but then I see an icon on the lower right
taskbar telling me that Automatic Updates has been turned off. (I want it off).
Then when I check in Security Center (Where I had unchecked that I want to be warned about updates being off etc.) I see the check mark is there AGAIN. I read that Malwarebytes does that sometimes, but I want Automatic Updates turned off, and I don't want to be notified of such. How can I get Malwarebytes to stop giving me that problem, other than turning Automatic Updates back on. Many thanks, Mike

Turn Malwarebytes off. You probably want MSE to be your daily anti-malware software that runs in the background anyway.

Turn automatic updates back on, but set it to only notify you, not download or install.

Thanks for the replies guys :
David M----I am using MSE, but I also like to run malwarebytes and ccleaner occassionally to clean up other junk that MSE might miss, and does.

glc---I did as you suggested. I assume that I should not get that message anymore. This was a friends computer that I was working on, and I gave it back. I will ask him to see if he gets that message again when he runs malwarebytes. Thanks again, Mike
