So I have just one folder (the othe ones open fine) on my home network where I get this message when trying to open it:

Might get some responses if you gave us the pertinent system details and didn't black out half the error message......

Are all involved computers Win 7 HP? Workgroup or homegroup?
Try renaming the folder to get rid of the special characters. |

No the computer that has the folder on it is windows xp professional. the other folders on that computer open up fine. I even renamed the folder 'videos' and it still won't open up over the network.

On the XP box, is simple file sharing enabled or disabled? Have you given "Everyone" "Full control" of that folder? Have you reviewed this thread?
Access Denied message... |

None of the stuff worked, so I just created a new folder and transferred all the contents into the new folder. Works fine now. No idea what was going on, but appreciate the help anyways glc!
