Need Help, Virus!

While I was here, trying to reply... suddenly everything on my toolbar closed (chrome, my game, music..) then i tried to open my chrome (on toolbar, shortcut) again but it said that the file was moved or something, and do you want to delete it?

I'm assuming because i was in facebook, somehow a virus got in to my pc and done its job. so i opened my CC cleaner, cleaned everything including my trash-bin/downloads and opened my virus to scan. after it fished i still couldn't open my chrome and any other shortcuts on my toolbar and desktop. so i restarted my pc and everything was running like a charm for me.

as i mentioned before i believe its a virus that has a pretty small script that made my pc go crazy... anyone know about this ? any way that i can find it and delete the files, please?

thanks for reading!

What Operating system are you using?
What antivirus and malware scanners do you use?

My Operating System, as my signature says, is Windows 7 64bit
as for my antivirus, its Norton Internet Security which has the malware scanner.

I am not a big fan of Norton and it is not very popular around here at the moment. If you are using a trial version of Norton I would suggest you uninstall it and use the two apps that we recommend the most.

Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes. No one security package is going to protect you from all threats these days but these two are doing a very good job between them at the moment.
MSE is fully automatic and once setup can be left alone, whereas the free version of Malwarebytes is an "on demand" scanner that requires manual updating and scanning. You can find both apps on filehippo.com. Malwarebytes is downloaded from filehippo and the MSE link takes you to the Microsoft site.

I must be losing the plot. I read through your signature to see what OS you are using..... saying that I changed my password yesterday and screwed everything up, so I was probably a little distracted...

It'd be best to scan your hard drive using another machine. Plus, you need to clean out the contents of the temporary folders, and Windows–or the virus–might not let you do that.

Expanding a little on what Nuk is saying, For me the best way to clean an infected computer is to remove the harddrive and slave it to another machine, but not all of us have access to another machine. If you haven't read it already this link will take you to a sticky in the Networking and Securities forum:
Slaving a harddrive to scan for viruses.
