Unsecured Wireless Network

Someone in the neighborhood has an unsecured wireless network that I've connected to.

Curiosity got the best of me and I found that the login and password is the default login and password from the router's distributor.

Is there a way to contact them somehow?
I tried to find a network printer and there wasn't one so that's out.
Or perhaps I should just leave it be?

Knock on the door of your neighbors next to your house.

Create a Desktop folder on his computer called "Your router is unsecured, Sincerely, Your helpfull neighbor." Then put this image inside the folder...

Just kidding!

Do as JDEB suggests.

I'm surprised you could log in to the router as a wireless user. By default, that is generally disabled.

Either way, leave it be. It's not your responsibility, and if you go rooting around on their network, you could be potentially liable for a whole host of things.

I was surprised as well.
Leave it to NetGear!

I'll just leave it alone as I'm not about to start knocking on doors asking people if they have an unsecured wireless router.

Janet Reno may send her goon squad to your house.

Probably more like, "Don't worry sir or madam, I'm from the internets."

Well, as long as you don't speak with a Hindoo accent and claim to be from Microsoft coming to secure his computer....
