no connections available

Yesterday I installed a Belkin N600DB USB wireless adapter in my wife's computer (Windows 7 home). It was to replace a Linksys G adapter card. Everything worked fine until I disabled then uninstalled Linksys software. Now there is no network connections available. power light on adapter is on but not the connection one. I am in process of checking settings for Adapter & (Belkin N600DB) router. I am new to Windows 7 and having difficulties finding things. My computer is XP. I have just begun working on it so if anyone has any suggestions that I may be overlooking something simple, it would be appreciated. Thanks. May the best day of your past be the worst of your future.

I'm thinking pull the new USB adapter out, turn off the PC, turn it back on and reinsert the USB adapter to see if it will re-install.

Or roll the machine back to a time before you disabled/uninstalled the Linksys stuff and just leave it or try again.

Thanks for info. I had tried rolling it back and got an error code saying it was unsuccessful trying to restore. Playing around this morning mostly trying to get familiar with "7" I found something that said the adapter did not install successfully. (Maybe faulty or outdated CD.) Everything I buy lately needs updating. I just wish I could remember now where I went this morning so it might be helpful for others. I think I right clicked on the notification icon, then eventually found details to click on, and more details on the information from the first details. I will write down where it takes me next time so I can share it. That seems like the point to finding answers to problems. Helping others. Hope everyone is having the best day of your life
