Blaster question

How in the world did this download on my Acer/vista PC.

I have Spy bot,MSE, ccleaner, malwarebytes.

I finally got a scan with spybot and says It is removed. Also a update and scan with MSE scans clean.

Every thing seams normal but how can I know for sure ? Any thing else I need to do ?

Even though you show "clean", I would first turn off system restore, good chance you have a corrupted restore point, boot to safe mode with internet, make sure malwarebytes and MSE are up to date and run FULL system scans. If they come back clean, turn system restore back on and ensure you have all data backed up, most likely you will have a clean machine.

It's hard to say. No one anti-malware package stops or finds everything.

That's the thing, once you think malware the is gone you never really know if it truly is gone or what damage it did.

The only way to be 100% certain is to zero out the drive with a few passes and to reinstall your operating system from scratch.

There is no such a thing as full protection, you know?

That's hardly a solution. Do you go to get a lobotomy every time you have a headache? That hardly gives one 100% certainty and it doesn't guarantee that it won't happen again; and if it does, then what, reinstall again?

Should have just stuck with the Air Force, then your machine would fly!
