how to retire old router
Just replaced linksys router. Before I add it to my 'yard sale' box, is there anything I should do so as to not jeopardize any of my home network security?

I would keep it as a backup. But if you want to sell it, merely reset it to the factory default settings by pushing the reset button and holding it down for at least 30 seconds.

Detonate,
Thanks for advice. I used to save ALL my older stuff for backup, but by the time I've ever needed it, they had become so outdated.....Now I sell/toss/recycle |
