Wifi unavailable if PC is in standby mode
Odd problem here, I didn't come up with much in searching.
I just moved and set up my wireless network and connected a couple smart phones, a laptop, and a PS3 to it. These worked fine for a couple weeks without any issue. A couple days ago I installed a wireless card in my desktop. Now, whenever I want to connect any of the other devices to the wifi, the desktop has to be turned on first. When the desktop is on, everything is great. They even stay connected if I shut down the desktop after connecting. Both PCs are running XP home. The new wireless card is thus: Newegg.com - ENCORE ENEWI-1XN45 Wireless N150 Adapter with 5 dBi antenna, IEEE 802.11b/g/ n 2.0 PCI Express Up to 150Mbps what's going on here?
