I am having an issue with Outlook 2010. UPDATE: I am not able to add an email profile, as it will not pass the inbound/outbound test. Additionals to know: -About a month ago, Century Link swapped my modem -I have had Outlook send before -I have Century Link DSL 12mb down If anyone can chime in and throw me some ideas, I would appreciate. (ports, settings, etc) Thank you in advance, SM Last edited by sm100378; 09-07-2012 at 10:00 PM. Reason: Update |

What email service do you use? Each one typically has their own specific mail client settings.

Centurylink could be blocking the standard SMTP port (25) if you are using a 3rd party mail server. This is common as an anti-spam measure.

I am using Outlook 2010 as my third party email program. I have ports: 995, 110, 587, 465 and 25 open. Anything else I can look at? Thank you!!! |

I'm not referring to a 3rd party email program, I'm referring to a 3rd party SERVICE.
I used my admin powers and see that you have a Gmail address - is that what you are trying to use with Outlook or are you trying to use one of the Centurylink family of addresses as in Doc's post? |
