Cannot access SCSI drive on network
I have a desktop and a laptop, both running Windows 7 Pro. I also have two SCSI drives attached to a linksys router. The desktop can access the drives without any problems. My laptop uses the wireless network which the router is also connected to via cable. When I first setup this configuration, I could access the two SCSI drives from the laptop. At some point, I had to reinstall Windows on my desktop. After that, I can no longer access the drives from my laptop. They show up in My Computer with the correct drive IDs; however, I cannot access the files. The drives show up as shared and I have tried various things, including my security settings, etc. without any success.
While I am reasonably comfortable with the setup, this one has me puzzled. Can anyone offer up some suggestions on what I can do OR what the problem might be? Would appreciate any help on this ... Thanks in advance ... |
