Any thoughts on QNAP Products
Hello everyone.
A quick question. I have had a QNAP TS-419P II for some time and have yet to move over the FTP functionality from my other NAS. My hope was to improve performance and allow limited cloud or web based access. Does anyone here have any experience with these unit and if so I would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks. |

Fantastic Product and super reliable.
I have 10 units in the field since 2009. 219 / 219Pro / 239Pro / 439Pro / 459Pro2 / 459Pro+ All running 24/7 Varoius offices, 2,000 km radius. Access them on daily basis. Used one 439Pro as FTP server. EMail and SMS notification of anything going wrong, power failures, drive failures, firmware updates etc. Very good tutorials and support. Had one of their Engineers (French) come visit me one morning for about 2 hours, when he visited South Africa and the local distributor told him I bought 4 units. Thought that was very cool. I could ask this guy anything, Products, reliability, roadmap, support and he answered them all.Regards,

Casey,
Thanks for the feedback. I have been in the "planning stage" of migrating my data from a Synology NAS over to my QNAP NAS. I need to set-up the FTP server and the notifications as you spoke about. I am also really not pleased with how WinIP has been acting lately. I wish I has a hard copy of the manual. I guess I will print it up as I work better from hard copies. Cheers. |
