Adobe update careful
While I was actually on this site about an hour ago I had a prompt about an Adobe update......I went ahead with the update and all of a sudden I had
AVA Antivirus (not Avast) trying to install/scan my computer! I hit stop imediately and it locked me out of everything! I tried doing a system restore using the search function and it locked me out.....desperate I had tried to find it and uninstall in programs but it was not there....suprise! I then went into "my computer" and found system restore a different way and was able to go back 2 days. I was about to call you George but for some reason I do not have your number in my cell...... I am running a full scan now using MS Essentials (would not allow me to before by the way nor the Malwarebytes program. What should I do now if anything? Thanks.... Jim |

I would run an updated deep scan of Malwarebytes in Safe Mode.

I haven't seen this but I've linked to this for the other mods and we'll be checking.

We're using vBulletin for the software here which is unrelated to any Adobe update prompts.

I never update Adobe if I get a popup saying Adobe needs to be updated while I'm browsing the web. I've never had it happen to me before, because usually Adobe notifies me after startup that it needs to be updated and not while I'm browsing.
