Charter internet and Linux Mint

Does anyone know if there would be a problem connecting to Charter internet using Linux Mint? On their website it does not list Linux as a usable OS.

It shouldn't matter.

Do you have the link where it says this?

It should be no problem. They do not have any support specialists that are familiar with Linux is all.

Okay, Thank you.

I plugged my Linux Mint box into my router and it works fine. The only thing that's not going to work is Charter's bundled software, but what do you need that for?

I haven't looked in awhile. Does Linux Mint have a anti virus and firewall or don't I have to worry about that with Linux?

jdeb 04-12-2013 08:33 PM

They have both. The firewall can be turned on av is not necessary. If you desire an av, use clamav found in software manager.
