Windows phone call scam

My wife handed me the phone, telling me it was someone from Microsoft. They never introduced themselves by name or said Microsoft when I took the phone, they just claimed that my computer was sending error messages to "them" and my computer was infected with a virus. He urged me to access my computer, but not wanting to fall prey, I asked him to identify which of my 4 computers running Windows it was. All he could do was repeat it was the computer running Windows. I then told him he was a scammer, at which he became upset and told me this virus would cause me serious problems and hung up.

Just ask them if the Start button is the one in the upper left corner that looks like a bitten apple.

I will toy with solicitors/scammers occasionally as well. It is my duty to society to slow them down.
