Once in awhile when I am booting up I get this error message.
The following error occurred while loading protocol number 0. Error 59: A network error has occurred. Clicking OK lets the computer finishing booting up and everything is fine. Cannot go and get cup of coffee while booting though as I never know when the problem will show up. Nothing on MicroSoft's site about it that I can find. I am running two computers using Win 98SE networked through Linksys hub into D-Link 701 router to 3-Com cable modem. Problem is on computer with D-Link software installed and never shows up on other computer. Anyone out there know what the fix for this problem is? I know that it is a registry problem and had fixed it once before by running a fixit tool from somewhere that indicated a problem and asked if I wanted it fixed. I did reg backup and told it to go ahead and problem vanished. I foolishly did not create a new drive image after doing the fix and have had to restore image of drive C because of other problem. Now I have this old problem back and cannot for the life of me find the site where I fixed it before. Just getting old I guess. |

Send an E-mail to jacbruce@yahoo.com and I will send you a copy of Microsoft's RegClean utility the corrects registry errors and then save a back-up.
