Default Gateways

I have a Win2K standalone server that acts as a translation server between our mainframe and incoming and outgoing web-based file transfers. The bunch that we're connecting with changed the network from frame relay to an internet VPN and in the process changed the subnet. They have a router on their subnet for internet connection with their equipment, and I have a router on our subnet for internet connection for our LAN. Anyway, I was using that server for dial-up RAS and also as a network share for software installs, since it had extra capacity and was underused anyway. After they changed the subnet it wasn't accessible to the network anymore. I added a second NIC to it configured with our original subnet so our office folks could access it again, but my dial-in users can't get out to the internet on their connection. The default gateway is on the new subnet, and the dial-in users are on the old subnet. The other company doesn't really want me to clutter up their network by issuing IP addresses on their subnet to my dial-in users. Is there a way to route the dial-in users through our default gateway router on our old subnet. I entered our router as the default gateway on the second NIC properties, but when you pull up IPCONFIG, it just lists the gateway on the original NIC on the new subnet. I guess you're allowed just one default gateway.

Sorry that's verbose and confusing....any ideas?

The only other thing I can think of trying is reversing the configuration on the NICs so that the first is configured for our network settings and the second configured for theirs. That way the default gateway would be our router. I think the routes are all stated on communications with them, anyway, so It's not looking for a default gateway. And even if it is, I can throw some static routes in our firewall to bounce anything with their network address over to their equipment. Maybe I'll play with that tomorrow evening....

new subnet and is the subnet valid

If you are using access lists for specific routes then you can just have the one default gateway (I believe that is in your old subnet). Your access list does not care about default gateways.
