ok i'm in a computer class in school where ican build computers and one of the programs we put on the is Novell. i think we use 3.2??? anyway i was going through the normal procedure while installing Novell and it won't take the winows98 disk i put in. we tryed making multiplebootdisks but it still doesn't work. it also won't let me install all of the files for Novell. i tryed using my computer to go through the Novell disk and search out the files by hand but it still wouldn't load them. we also tryed fdisking the hard drive several times and run scandisk but there wasn't any bad clusters or viruses and it just does the same thing. my teacher thinks it's the motherboard. what do you think

If I understand it right your trying to install Novell over windows? If so it won't work you can only have DOS on the hard drive,at least that is how we installed Novell 5.0. we reformatted then installed Caldera DOS then proceeded with novell

I can try, first you need to reformat the hard drive,Netware's OS cannot be installed over the version of DOS that windows uses, so you need to install DOS 6.22 should work,we used Caldera because it came on the licensing disk. when you get the disk
Fdisk partition hard drive, create a DOS partition (I made it 100MB) ESC out of FISK, then Format C: /s at the prompt reboot with DOS disk in A:drive (here is where V.3 may be different from V5.) at the prompt type EDIT C:autoexec.bat then hit ENTER twice and save file then exit. once back at the prompt type EDIT C: config.sys then enter FILES=40 BUFFERS=30 save and exit next you need to install CD-ROM drivers after this put the Netware CD in drive at the prompt type the cd-roms drive letter then type INSTALL |
