from my first build !!
hey guys,
thanx a lot for all your help in the last few weeks, i would never have got my pc built without your help. pc runs like a dream - just a few minor issues which i just cant seem to sort out , i have installed 2 x 256mb(pc2100)ram, but the system says i have 384mb ram installed, is there something i havent done rite, i could do with some help.. specs: msi kt266pro-ru,xp1900+, 512mb(pc2100)ram(shows as 384mb), radeon8500, 2 x40mb barracuda IV, Creative Audigy 5.1 |

I haven't heard of a system counting just half of a stick of RAM. I would say you have a 256m stick and a 128m stick. Are they physically identical? Have you tried booting with just one stick at a time to see if they both post as 256 individually? What brand are they?
