Sharing a Printer over a Network
Hellooo I was wondering how I share my crappy printer with my other computer in the kitchen.
I have an HP Deskjet 695c hooked up to my gaming machine in my room, but want to be able to print from it in the kitchen. The computers are networked and are sharing files, but only one way. I can view, edit, execute, etc the files on the Win98 kitchen computer, but from that computer I can not access the network or view anything on my Win2k box. The printer is hooked up to the Win2k computer. |

You need to add a user account on your 2K box for the logged in user on the 98 box and you should be able to get 2-way sharing working. If you still have problems, just install Netbeui and try again. Then all you have to do is share the printer, find it in the other box's Network neighborhood, right click on it, and select Install.
