I have alot of files in my laptop that I want to put into the new PC that I just built and at the moment, I don't have access to a zip drive. So I looked into connecting the two machines. I went to accessories and went to Direct Cable connection, setting the laptop with files I'd like to transfer to the new machine as the host and the new machine as a guest. For the cables, does it have to be serial to serial or can it be serial to parallel?
Thanks in advance! |

The fastest way is parallel to parallel. You can buy a "direct cable connection" cable almost anywhere for $10 or less. I got mine at walmart.
