I hate this kind of thing but ...
I'm a network admin at work. Looking through some of the logs we've become curious as to what exactly he's doing. We're using exchange server 5.5 (Outlook clients) Is there a way to configure Exchange to forward a copy of his mail to my mailbox? (Incoming or outgoing, both preferable.) Thanks- Big Brother ![]() ------------------ Josh joshmu@aracnet.com *------------------------* Suggestions Only, Not responsible for damage caused by following my Suggestions. http://www.alladvantage.com/go.asp?refid=EAX491 |

Many ways. Change their password.... go to their workstation and add a rule to blind copy you-----then tell them their password needs to be changed.
From exchange the administrator can do all (unlike novell which had a bit of security) --- Can't really help you myself.... personal ethics reasons. It is more than possible just like taping your corporate phone conservations ---- if your company has lots of money then ---- well you get the picture ---- if no money---don't worry. |

Bob, with due respect 2 ur ethical reasons.
Joshmu, I hope your company has proper email policy which clearly indicates that emails on coprorate network are company properties and no privacy rules are applicable on it. Emails etc constitue company' IPR not persons as long as its explicitly stated. Given above assumption, you can either a) Give that persons boss read privilege to email account. b) in the mail user properties, set copy all incoming emails to other account c) change his password, and disable his access tochange password again, and once you know the password, u can setup his account on another desktop to read emails too. only option a) and c) above will let you read the outgoing emails as long as emails are not setup using SMTP delivery. you may also try this a) get the user name and password for that person b) open IMAP service on your Exchange server (port 143) c) setup ur outlookexpress d) set that users account as an IMAP folder e) you have got access to his incming and outgoing emails both. |

Baby Bill G. is "Big Brother" - or at least is helping to create the ability for one. Hate to think of what is next.
