Home Network Problem
I have just installed a home network:
D-Link 713-P Router Wired Network card (comp#1) D-Link 120 USB Wireless on (Comp#2) On (Comp#2) I see a wireless signal strength of between 65% to 100 %. I go to network neighborhood and see (Comp#1) & (Comp#2) about 30 minutes later the Signel strenght was still between 65% to 100 % but I couldn't access (Comp#2) from (Comp#1). Anyone know what might be the problem... or at least what to look for? attached files network.jpg is the actual network and invoke.jpg is the error message Thanks Steve |

sjm,
Does the wireless hookup work ok during initial use i.e. internet access, file sharing and access, printer server, etc.? I have the same router with 3 wired hookups and a wireless pcmcia laptop card. You might try a firmware upgrade to the router. Ray

I am still waiting for ATT to come here. Waited 1 month for a saturday and the guy said he had family issues and left after being here 5 minutes. So I will be on-line on the 18th. I am having trouble with my external modem, seems it won't connect to ISP at this time.
I will try the up-grade. Thanks Steve |

RayCom,
One more thing, Printer and file share work well but for some reason I lose connection. Not sure why. It will be working fine for 20 minutes and then no signal... Poof... No reason that I can see my signal is a pretty strong 80 to 100% Steve |

Steve,
If the firmware upgrade doesn't fix your problem, I would call d-link tech support. They are great and it is free. Ray |
