Question

For a relatively small business, whats the best setup for security. The main purpose for the star network on T1s are for internet access from all the computers thru the network cards. The computers at the time also are configured for netbieu protocol with there ips respectively. My main concern here in asking is security. Is there a better protocol or way of doing this?and these computers do not have to share files If there is a better way. Thanks mike

Sharing files with NetBeui is inherently secure to the outside world as it is not a routable protocol. In order to share Internet connections, you have to use TCP/IP which is another story. If you have a T1, the best affordable security is a router with a built in firewall.
